Christmas Breaks at the Riverside Hotel

Christmas Eve

Arrive on Christmas Eve and be welcomed to the Hotel with a mince pie and warm glass of mulled wine. In the evening at The Riverside Hotel relax and enjoy the live music provided by our own pianist. Your three course candlelit meal is served in the restaurant from 6.30pm leaving your evening free to relax and let your children decorate our Christmas Tree.

Christmas Day

Christmas Day will be presented to you at a leisurely pace with a Cumbrian Breakfast Buffet. The afternoon is then yours to enjoy before sitting down to a six course Christmas Lunch to remember. Throughout the remainder of the day you can relax in hotel, take a swim, watch The Queen’s speech, or sleep it off in the comfort of your bedroom. The hotel lounge will offer a choice of games for you to join in should you wish, such as, the domino knockout championship, how many sweets in the jar and guess the weight of the Christmas Cake. And if you have any room left a decorative buffet will be served in the Restaurant between 7.00pm and 8.30pm.

Boxing Day

After your English Breakfast Buffet you are free to explore the Lake District. Whether you’re walking, sightseeing or possibly even sledging no doubt you will be ready to sit down and enjoy the fine food our restaurant offers with a three course candlelit dinner.
Later on in the evening we will be hosting our special Boxing Day Quiz with prizes.
