Christms Break at the Riverside

Christmas Eve

Arrive on Christmas Eve and be welcomed to the Hotel with a
mince pie and warm glass of mulled wine. Join us in the evening for the Lakeland Hand Bell Ringers, who will delight you with their renditions of your favourite Christmas Carols. Your three course candlelit meal is served in the restaurant from 6.30pm leaving the rest of the night free to let the children decorate the Christmas Tree and you to wind down next to the fire.

Christmas Day

Christmas Day will be presented to you at a leisurely pace with a Cumbrian Breakfast Buffet. The afternoon is then yours to enjoy before sitting down to a six course Christmas Lunch to remember. Throughout the remainder of the day you can relax in hotel, take a swim, watch the Queens speech, or sleep it off in the comfort of your bedroom. The hotel lounge will offer a choice of parlour games for you to join in should you wish, such as, the domino knockout championship, how many sweets in the jar and guess the weight of the Christmas Cake. And if you have any room left a decorative buffet will be served in the Restaurant between 7.00pm and 8.30pm.

Boxing Day

After your English Breakfast Buffet you are free to explore the Lake District. Whether you’re walking, sightseeing or possibly even sledging no doubt you will be ready to sit down and enjoy the fine food our restaurant offers with a three course candlelit dinner. Later on in the evening we will be hosting our special Boxing Day Quiz with prizes.

New Year Break at The Riverside

30th December

Be welcomed to the Hotel with Canapés and a glass of Bucks Fizz to enjoy in one of our comfortable lounges. Once you are settled in join us in the restaurant to enjoy a three course candlelit meal.

New Years Eve

Set yourself up for a day to remember with a full English Buffet Breakfast. The day is then yours to enjoy at your own pace, take a swim in our pool, have a walk in the beautiful Lake District Hills or simply spend the day getting ready to party the night away! The six course Celebration meal will be followed by a night of dancing as we play host to our famous and much loved Celidh Band.

New Years Day

Today can be spent at you leisure, whether you want to enjoy a long lie in the comfort of your bedroom or if you want to venture out and enjoy the Lakes that is entirely up to you - but a big hearty English Buffet breakfast will be served to set you up for the day.

A three course evening meal will be served in our restaurant for you in the evening to finish your New Year break in style. And if you still have the energy come down to the Bar and take part in our special New Year Quiz!
